Maccabi USA is seeking Jewish Rugby players, ages 17 and older, to represent the United States at the 20th World Maccabiah Games in Israel, July 6-17, 2017.
Maccabi USA Rugby is an elite Rugby program that has earned a medal at every World Maccabiah Games since Rugby was added in 1985 at the 12th Maccabiah Games.
Interested athletes should attend one combines OR a USA Rugby National Tracking Camp:
- May 22, 2016 – Allen, TX (NTC) | UPDATE 5/18/16: This event has been postponed due to low attendance. More details to come soon.
- June 4, 2016 – Santa Monica, CA (West)
- June 11, 2016 – Saratoga, NY (East)
- June 11, 2016 – Salt Lake City, UT (NTC)
Registration & Fees
$30 (Cash or Check payable to Maccabi USA) on arrival at the field.
In addition, in order to participate in the combine you must also be registered with and pay the application fee to Maccabi USA prior to attendance at the combine. Maccabi USA — APPLY HERE.
Participation in a combine or NTC is mandatory to be available for selection to the squad unless specifically excused by Shawn Lipman (head coach) info@usmaccabiahrugby.com.
The combine will include evaluations of the following:
- Speed
- Strength
- Agility
- Ball passing skills
- Tackle skills
- Kicking skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Leadership
