We invite you to join us for the The TEXAS Rugby Weekend! June 14-17 in Houston, TX it will be an action packed few days and you shouldn’t miss it.
The weekend begins with a Texas-sized BBQ with the USA Men’s Eagles prior to facing Scotland on Saturday. Enjoy wonderful Texas hospitality at the home of Stewart and Joy Morris, meet a Texas Longhorn steer and enjoy some delicious BBQ and rugby conversation with USA Rugby players and coaching staff. All proceeds directly benefit the Rugby World Cup 2019 Qualified Eagles as they prepare for Japan.
On Friday attend the The Lost Afternoon Rugby Luncheon from 11am to 3pm at the Marriott Marquis in Houston, TX. The keynote speaker will be Scotland and British and Irish Lion great, Gavin Hastings. Dan Lyle of AEG Rugby, USA’s greatest international rugby player, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. This event specifically supports youth rugby initiatives.
Later that evening we urge you to attend U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame Induction Dinner at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston, TX on Friday, June 15, 2018. A cocktail reception will begin at 6:00 pm which will give one a chance to meet and greet the inductees. Dinner will follow at 7:00, followed by the U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
That takes us to Saturday morning and the 1st ever U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame Charity Golf Tournament. Co-Hosted by the U.S. Rugby Foundation and the Houston Youth Rugby Association, the tournament will take place at Hermann Park Golf Course on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Play will begin with an 8:00 shotgun start. A lunch, raffle and awards ceremony will follow the tournament at the golf course.
All of these events all lead up to the main event where rugby returns to BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, June 16. The United States Men’s National Team hosts Scotland in a premiere test match and is the second leg of the Emirates Airline Summer Series for the Eagles.
