It is with deep regret that members of the St. Pius X High School RFC announce the passing of Coach Matt Cusimano on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 after a yearlong battle with cancer. “Coach Cooz” had been active in the local rugby community for over 35 years; firstly as a player with the Houston Strikers RFC , Houston Old Boys RFC and HARC, then as a coach with the Corpus Christi School rugby program for over 15 years, and finally as Assistant Rugby Coach at St. Pius X High School for the past three years.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be posted once in place. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the “Matt Cusimano Rugby Scholarship Fund” at St. Pius X High School and put to the attention of Jason Kimball, 811 West Donovan Street, Houston, Texas 77091.
