The Texas A&M University Rugby Club is searching for a new Head Coach and is open to either a full-season (7s & 15s) head coach or someone interested to specialize solely in 7s (Fall) OR 15s (Spring). Traditionally, Texas A&M typically has a very strong club and competes nationally at a high level.
The club has a rich, 45-year history, and is ripe for a competitive run each year. The Club Director, Craig Coates, also offers insurmountable assistance in terms of club management, consultation to the player-officers, University administration, and technical support in regards to providing film breakdown each week. Along with direct club support, there is an alumni group called Old Maroon that offers support each year in various forms; they are constantly exploring ideas on how to get the club to a more competitive level.
Unfortunately, this is far from a fully-paid gig. Details are being worked out on travel expense stipend and/or housing possibilities in College Station, TX, but this is basically a volunteered post. The main challenges with club progression come with limited financial support. Again, those are things that we are constantly exploring to find opportunity to compete at a National Level.
If interested, please contact Brett Pellerin.
