RRRC Competition Update

The RRRC would like to let the members know about a few updates to our Club competitions:

Men’s D1 Club

The Griffins are not participating in the RRRC and as a result the competition is only five teams. To meet match requirements, the Austin Blacks and Dallas Reds will be participating in the Gold Cup again. To ensure that the Austin Huns, Dallas Harlequins and Houston Athletic meet their match requirements we will be re-introducing the Texas Cup, which will be a round robin. These teams will also be required to schedule two other matches against D1 opponents outside of the TRU.

Texas Cup

Schedule is forthcoming, will update when confirmed.

  1. Gold Cup and Texas Cup matches will be entered in CMS as friendlies and will not count towards overall D1 standings. The matches DO count toward the USAR required number of games and for purposes of lower division match eligibility – i.e., the 50% rule.
  2. All eligibility and other rules and guidelines apply to these matches.

Men’s D3 Club

Woodlands and Euless have both dropped their second sides due to low numbers. We’ve replaced Euless with the Dallas Diablos and they will play their established schedule. They will be working with their opponents to reschedule their Nov 19 and Dec 10th matches for later in the year.

HEB has also folded and at this time we haven’t been able to fill in their schedule, so D3 North will compete without HEB.

TRU Women’s D2 Club*

*Our Women’s D2 Club is not competing in the Red River Conference and is only participating at a TRU level. However, we wanted to provide the below update as a FYI.

The San Marcos Sirens have dropped out out of the competition and DARC from the “North” division will replace them in the “South” division. A few matches may need to be rescheduled as a result of this switch.
