WANTED: Head Coach of the Warrior Rugby Club (Texas A&M University-Central Texas)

We are seeking qualified applicants for a full time position with benefits of Specialist, University Sports Development & Head Coach of the Warrior Rugby Club.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Provides the expertise, leadership, and support to assess potential demand and to plan for the implementation of sports programs that may be intramural, club, or intercollegiate based, offering students diverse and competitive opportunities across a broad range of skill levels. Promotes the positive image of the university and strengthens university and community relationships. Develops and acts as head coach of the Warrior Rugby Club as a foundation for future sports programs. Reports to the President of the University through the university’s Chief Liaison Officer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated academic discipline and collegiate athletic experience as both a student participant and as a coach.
  • Experience as both a Rugby player and coach, with at least five years of direct experience coaching at the high school, collegiate, or club levels in both 15’s and 7’s, and managing athletic groups in quads and/or teams.

HOURS:    Monday-Friday with Saturdays during the season. Hours vary due to practice schedule and games. Minimum 40 hours per week.

SALARY:   $34,000 (Salary includes Benefit Replacement Pay if eligible)
