The TRU proudly announces its 2024 TRU Toast All Star Team, a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of rugby players across the region. Selected through a rigorous process, these athletes will represent the TRU at the ninth Mary Graham All Stars Rugby Tournament, set to take place December 7-8 in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This highly anticipated event brings together top women’s rugby players from across the country, providing a platform to showcase the skill, speed, and strength of the sport while fostering the growth of women’s rugby at all levels.
This year’s All Star team reflects the incredible diversity and depth of rugby talent within the TRU. Players represent a broad spectrum of teams and programs, including:
- Houston sHARCs: 10 players, showcasing the powerhouse of talent from this program.
- Dallas Quins: 6 players, highlighting the continued strength of this club in producing top-tier athletes.
- Little Rock: 6 players, underlining the program’s significant contribution to the regional rugby landscape.
- Austin Valkyries: 4 players, bringing experience and skill to the team.
- Dallas RFC: 2 players, emphasizing the breadth of talent across the TRU.
- OKC Boomers: 1 player, showcasing representation from Oklahoma in this regional team.
- College programs: 2 players from the Oklahoma Roses, representing the promising future of rugby with young talent stepping up.
The composition of the All Star team highlights the TRU’s commitment to inclusivity and fostering talent across various clubs and regions, ensuring a well-rounded and competitive squad.
About the Mary Graham All Stars Rugby Tournament
The Mary Graham All Stars Rugby Tournament, now in its ninth year, will be hosted at the upgraded Grand Prairie Mountain Creek Soccer Complex in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Known for its competitive spirit and high-performance play, the tournament features two tiers of competition – the Cup and Plate divisions – and will see Midwest Green returning as defending champions, alongside elite teams like Southwest, TRU Toast, USA Rugby South, Midwest White, Capital and Mid-America, and South Selects.
