Texas Heat, High Stakes: 2025 Summer 7s Schedule

The race for 7s glory is on! The 2025 RRRC & TOLA 7s Series is ready to deliver another summer of speed, skill, and serious bragging rights.

Last year, Austin Huns pulled off the double in the men’s division—taking both TOLA and RRRC titles. On the women’s side, Dallas RFC topped the TOLA standings while HEB continued their reign in RRRC, making it back-to-back championships for the women in red.

History tells us to keep an eye on the Huns, who’ve dominated the men’s TOLA circuit since 2018—aside from a few Dallas detours. And don’t sleep on HEB, who’ve become the team to beat in RRRC women’s 7s.

With seeds set after the first stop and every match carrying weight, the stage is set for another unforgettable summer. Who’s ready to shake things up in 2025?

Overview

The 2025 summer 7s series brings RRRC and TOLA teams together at every stop—no more separate tracks. This unified schedule is designed to foster stronger competition, build community, and keep everyone in the mix all summer long.

Teams declared for the Nationals track will battle it out across the series for the chance to represent the RRRC at the USA Club 7s Championships, with invites based on final points standings.

TOLA teams will compete at the same events, earning points toward the TOLA title—capped off with the TOLA Championship, which carries double points. To stay eligible for either title, teams must compete in all required tournaments.

Series Events

Lonestar 7s – Dallas, TX (June 7)
The summer kicks off in Dallas with Lone Star 7s—the first stop in the series and a prime chance for teams to make an early statement. Seeds will be set after this one, so every match counts.

Bloodfest 7s – Austin, TX (June 14)
One week later, it’s the first Qualifier and Austin takes the stage. Bloodfest is always intense—expect big crowds, big hits, and big moves on the leaderboard.

Choctaw 7s – Durant, OK (June 28)
Qualifier #2 heads north to Oklahoma! Choctaw 7s draws serious talent and adds even more heat to the race for the top.

Hell or High Water 7s – Houston, TX (July 12)
The final Qualifier rolls into Houston—where the heat is real and the stakes are even higher. It’s the last shot to lock in points, so expect teams to leave it all on the line.

River Boat 7s – Shreveport, LA (July 26)
The TOLA Championship wraps in Shreveport. With final points on the line, River Boat 7s will be a battle to the finish.

USA Club 7s Championships – Madison, WI (August 9-10)
Teams chasing Nationals glory will need to rack up points all summer—only the top scorers punch their ticket to Madison.

Non-Qualifying Tournaments

Cherrybone 7s – The Woodlands, TX (July 19)
A fan favorite for its laid-back vibe and legendary post-tourney bash, Cherrybone offers a great mid-summer runout for teams looking to stay sharp.

7s By The Sea – Corpus Christi, TX (July 26)
Also on July 26, head south for 7s By The Sea. A more social stop on the circuit, it’s perfect for teams chasing sun, sand, and some final summer fun.

About RRRC 7s

The RRRC Qualifier Series features top-level competition in the Senior Men’s and Women’s divisions. At the end of the circuit, the team with the most points earns a spot at the USA Rugby Club 7s National Championships. Some years, we’re awarded more than one seed—if that happens, teams will be notified. To be eligible, teams must meet all USA Rugby and RRRC requirements and compete in at least two of the three qualifiers.

About TOLA 7s

The Texas Oklahoma Louisiana Arkansas (TOLA) 7s Series is all about regional bragging rights. Open to men’s and women’s teams, this series rewards consistent performance across designated tournaments—no need for full Club 7s eligibility. If you play, you earn points. At the end of the summer, the teams with the most points will be crowned TOLA champions.
