2026-27 Registration is now OPEN!

Registration for the 2026-2027 Red River Rugby Conference season is open for all roles, division competitions are live on Rugby Xplorer, and Texas GU fees have changed. Here is everything clubs need to know before the first whistle.

Registration for the 2026-2027 season is now open across every role. Clubs can begin registering players, coaches, administrators, and match officials immediately.

Current registration coverage remains valid through August 31, 2026. Anyone whose coverage falls under the previous period should renew before that date to avoid a gap ahead of the season.

Fixtures Are Live on Rugby Xplorer

All division competitions are now active on Rugby Xplorer. Clubs can view the full fixture list, filter by team and competition, and check results as the season progresses.

If a competition or fixture is not appearing as expected, contact the Texas Rugby Union administration team before reaching out to USA Rugby, as scheduling questions are handled at the union level.

Match Requests and the CAD Process

All match requests must follow the CAD process. This includes:

  • Division match changes
  • Friendly match requests

Club Administrators will receive full instructions this week, along with supporting resources and reminders. Requests submitted outside the CAD process cannot be actioned, so club admins should watch their inbox and share the instructions with anyone in the club who handles scheduling.

Texas GU Fee Update

Texas GU registration fees have increased for the following roles:

RolePrevious Fee2026-2027 Fee
Player$50$75
Admin$25$30
Weekend Player$0$40

Fees for all other roles remain unchanged. Clubs budgeting for the season should account for the Weekend Player fee in particular, as this role previously carried no GU cost.

Compliance Requirements Before Your First Match

The following must be completed before any club takes the field. These apply to competitive fixtures and friendlies alike.

Coach certifications. All coach certifications must be completed prior to any matches. Coaches who are mid-certification should finish the process well ahead of the first fixture rather than in the week of.

USA Rugby club fee. Clubs must register and pay the USA Rugby club fee prior to any matches. A club that has not paid is not cleared to play.

Individual registrations. Players, coaches, and all other club personnel must be registered prior to the first game. Late registrations are a common cause of last minute eligibility problems, so clubs should audit their roster now rather than on match week.

Rugby Xplorer rosters. Every match must be accompanied by an RX roster, including friendly matches. There are no exceptions for non-competitive fixtures.

Failure to enter a roster may result in disciplinary action by the TRU Board.
