Description
Aug 30, SUNDAY COURSE –A hands-on course that blends classroom learning with on-field application. You’ll cover key aspects of Law knowledge and spend time practicing what you’ve learned out on the pitch. This is an in-person course and runs for approximately eight hours.
This is for individuals who wish to referee forms of rugby that involve tackling. Minimum age 13.

Note: Participants must wear activewear, as you will be up and moving throughout the day.
What’s Included in Your Registration:
- Full access to the 8-hour certification course.

- Note: The host hotel offers a complimentary evening reception with drinks and snacks for all guests booked in our room block. If you choose to stay elsewhere, the welcome social will function as a cash bar.
- Optional Add-ons: Grab a discounted Hall of Fame Saturday Night Banquet ticket for $100 (regularly priced $125).
Mandatory Pre-Course Work: The course requires you complete several online courses before attending. After completion, the resulting PDF certificates must be uploaded to USA Rugby’s Learning Center before certification will be granted. You will not be able to obtain qualification without completing these steps:
- Confirm your RX Learning Account: Once confirmed USAR will add you into the registration for the course and send you further details about the course
- Complete Online Modules & Upload Certificates:
- SafeSport (required annually)
- Rugby Safety Basics
- Background Check: Before coaching a team, you must complete a background check (required every 2 years). This is auto-generated once you register as a coach in RX. Note: Background checks can take 2–3 weeks to process, so plan accordingly.
Register by Sunday, August 14 to receive all the benefits. Coins will not be included for anyone registering after that date, as we need to place the order in advance. Registration officially closes Friday, August 21.
Registration is limited to one participant per entry to ensure we have accurate attendance information. If you are signing up for someone other than yourself, please email the participant’s full name and registered course to traci@texasrugbyunion.com.
