A massive shoutout is due as they continue to represent the Texas Rugby Union (TRU) and the Red River Rugby Conference (RRRC) with distinction.
In the semi-final on May 18th, the Blacks dismantled the Red River Ruffians with a solid 48-19 win. They carried that formidable momentum into the final on May 19th, where they delivered an astounding performance, overwhelming Colusa County 86-0. This victory not only underscores their offensive strength but also highlights their unyielding defense.
The Austin Blacks’ unwavering commitment and skill have once again elevated their status within the national rugby scene, proving their mettle as a perennial powerhouse. Their robust program is notable as one of the only clubs (along with Dallas RFC) in the nation to support teams across Men’s Division 1, 2, 3, and 4, consistently pushing into the postseason.
