KEY ELIGIBILITY AND COMPETITIONS GUIDELINES.

  • Maximum of 13 players; no more than 12 may be selected to a single game roster; teams may name and use up to five replacements. Player interchanges are limited to five moves; the same player can be used multiple times.
  • Minimum of nine (9) players.

CLUBS ENTERING MORE THAN ONE TEAM IN QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS.

  1. Multiple Teams participating from one Club
Clubs may enter more than one team into Qualifying Tournaments. All players must be registered to the Club by the deadline; each Roster is locked for duration of that Qualifying event. The Club must designate which of its teams is trying to qualify for Nationals prior to the start of any Qualifying tournament in which it has more than one team entered.
  2. Multiple Teams attempting to qualify for Nationals from one Club
Clubs that wish to qualify more than one team must register each team as a separate sevens entity before June 15. The second Club, registered and formed from an existing Club is considered the same as a new Club. Players must register to, and may only participate in Qualifying/Competitive events for, the Club to which they are registered. (Regulation 5.1-(f)).

RECOGNIZED COMPETITIVE TOURNAMENT: PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

Request approval from the Club Sevens Committee by JUNE 1. Have the tournament director:

  • Confirm each player’s ID prior to play.
  • Sign a copy of the team roster based on the checked-in players.
  • Take a team picture at the Event:
Club must send the team Roster and photo to the Club Sevens Committee within seven (7) calendar days of the completion of this tournament (7s@usaclub.rugby).

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: QUALIFYING / RECOGNIZED COMPETITIVE TOURNAMENTS

Players must have proof of identification and citizenship (original or legible copies) available at all events in which they participate. See Regulation 7.4. for the full list of government-issued documents which may be used to confirm citizenship.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Each player must play in at least two Qualifying/Recognized Competitive Tournaments.
Each player must be in compliance with criteria specified in Section 5.2.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: NAME WITHHELD SETTING IN RUGBY XPLORER (RX)

For Qualifying Tournaments, all players shall have their Privacy setting set to Public in RX. If the privacy status has been set to ‘private’, that player’s name will appear as ‘Name Withheld’ on public team sheets/rosters and the player will not receive “participation credit” for that event.

PLAYERS: CHANGING PRIVACY SETTING

Individuals control their privacy settings through their ‘My Profile’ page in RX. To change this setting, the player must go into their RX profile and update their privacy setting:

  1. Sign in to Rugby Xplorer (https://myaccount.rugbyxplorer.com.au).
  2. Go to My Profile.
  3. Under “My privacy setting…”, change status to ‘Public.’
  4. Click update.
  5. At this point your name will be displayed on the Event Roster.

If the Event Roster was already entered, the Team Administrator must re-submit so the update is entered.

CLUB AND UNION ADMINISTRATORS: MONITORING PLAYER PRIVACY SETTINGS

Club and Union administrators have access to a report that shows their members’ privacy setting:

  1. Sign in to Rugby Xplorer (https://admin.rugbyxplorer.com.au/).
  2. Go to Administration-Reports-Registration Reports-Contact Report.
  3. Email Report.
  4. Examine the column “Profile (Public or Private).”
