USA Rugby announces seating of College Eligibility Committee
Boulder, Colo. – Decisions on eligibility at the college level will be in the hands of USA Rugby’s College Eligibility Committee beginning June 1.
The committee is one of four new groups being seated as part of the on-going restructuring of college rugby. The seven-member committee will represent both the men’s and women’s college game.
Members of the committee are:
Chair: Marty Bradley, Tennessee
Chip Auscavitch, Merrimack
Craig Coates, Texas A&M
Rich Cortez, Wyoming
Curt Huckaby, Arkansas State
Will Riddle, Army
Michele Yarbrough, Deep South LAU
The College Eligibility Committee will report to the College Management Council with Bradley serving as a non-voting member of the Council. The committee will work with USA Rugby staff to review and rule on college eligibility waiver requests as well as support and advise the Council on college eligibility issues.
The committee’s first order of business will be to conduct a review of USA Rugby college eligibility regulations and will provide a report to the College Management Council later this year.
