Alliance Rugby Men’s Side Looking For Head Coach

Screen Shot 2015-06-04 at 9.04.22 AMAlliance Rugby Club founded in 2000 was originally formed as a youth program, after arriving in Norman for the Tornado Alley 7’s Tournament with 7 kids for their first ever tournament and Alliance’s first tournament they won the tournament and the club immediately began to grow from there.

Alliance Men finished very strong last season winning 4 of the last 6 matches.  1/3 of the men’s team have players that played high school rugby, 1/3 that played college rugby and/or football and the final 1/3 is new to this great game within the last two years.

We are searching for a head coach that wants to have the same team goal as we do, “WIN THE TEXAS DIII TITLE”.  This person will need to be at trainings on Tuesdays/Thursdays, observe weakness in team play and improve those area(s), build players up and be a positive influence.  Our current head coach is taking college courses to advance his career.  He will remain as a part time coach and there are two players that are certified coaches that will help be part time coaches plus 3/4 of the executive committee are certified coaches and they can help coach too.

Our home field is light with a grass surface that is 68 1/5 meters wide with 5 meter technical zones, 99 meters goal post to goal post (cannot move the goalposts) and 15 meter try zones.

We have a two axle trailer filled with equipment including tackle bags, ruck pads, scrum machine and much more gear.
