Summit on the Game
The Texas Rugby Union is holding our seventh annual Regional Development Summit on August 26-28 in Houston, TX. Our Summit continues to be the largest event in the nation and the only event where you can dual certify in multiple tracks.
This year our event will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston – Greenway Plaza. Field sessions will be held indoors where possible or at a nearby park when required.
We are excited to present an expanded program with courses for coaches, referees and players. This event is for rugby of all levels including adults, collegiate, high school and youth, fans, and die-hards alike.

Please note that the courses will fill up quickly and we urge you to register early. Registration will close on August 22 at NOON.

We have put together a block of rooms at the Hilton Hotel Houston – Greenway Plaza [MAP] at a discounted rate of $99 per night. The block is available at a first come, first reserve basis.

We’re kicking off our upcoming TRU Summit weekend with a welcome social at Rocks @ Greenway Bar at the DoubleTree Hilton. We’ve reserved space for everyone and will have appetizers and complimentary drinks starting at 7pm.

We will be celebrating the 2022 class of the Texas Rugby Union Hall of Fame. Held at the same location as the Summit on Saturday evening, August 27.
Join us as we celebrate these individuals whose lives or careers are inextricably woven into the fabric of our history. This event was established in 2016 and we’ve inducted 5-10 members each year.
The evening will begin with a social hour and then we will move into the banquet room for a formal dinner. Attire for the event is semi-formal or “Black Tie Optional”.
