TOLA 7s Series: Austin Huns and Dallas RFC Lead the Charge

The 42nd annual Lone Star 7s concluded with a flourish, marking another significant chapter in the storied history of the Texas Oklahoma Louisiana Arkansas (TOLA) Rugby 7s Series. With the dust settling and the standings established, the TRU is abuzz with the performances of the participating teams.

In the Men’s TOLA category, the Austin Huns-White stood out with an exceptional performance, securing the top position with a total of 7 points. The team demonstrated impressive teamwork and strategy, propelling them to the lead. Trailing closely behind, the Dallas RFC-White and Quins demonstrated their prowess on the field with 5 and 4 points, respectively. HEB picked up 3 points while the Woodlands, Austin Huns-Blue, Dallas-Red, Green Machine, Fort Worth and Gorilla rounded out the standings with 1 point awarded each.

Turning our attention to the Women’s TOLA category, it was  Dallas RFC that stole the show, securing 7 points and grabbing the top spot. The Quins put up a commendable fight, securing the second position with 5 points. Grand Prairie and Valkyries, both with 4 points, and Maulgaritaville with 3 points, further demonstrated the depth and competitiveness of the women’s rugby scene.

This tournament promises to be an electrifying stop on both the TOLA 7s Series and the RRRC 7s circuit.
