About Texas Rugby Union All Stars:
The Texas Rugby Union Texas Toast is a dynamic and competitive rugby team dedicated to fostering the growth and development of high-performance female rugby players in Texas. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Texas Toast All Stars Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of the 7th Annual Mary Graham All Stars Tournament.

Position Overview:
The Texas Toast All Stars Manager will play a pivotal role in organizing and promoting the annual Mary Graham All Stars Tournament. This individual will collaborate closely with the All Star coaching staff, led by Head Coach Mary Swanstrom, to ensure the smooth execution of tryout camps and team participation at the tournament. The manager will be responsible for publicizing the tryout camps, recruiting talented players, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the All Star coaching staff to plan and execute two to three tryout camps leading up to the Mary Graham All Stars Tournament.
  • Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to attract talented players from diverse backgrounds to participate in the tryout camps.
  • Create and execute promotional campaigns to publicize the tryout camps and the Mary Graham All Stars Tournament using various channels such as social media, emails, and community outreach.
  • Work closely with the Head Coach and coaching staff to ensure a seamless flow of communication and coordination throughout the planning process.
  • Act as a liaison between players, coaches, and tournament organizers to address any concerns or questions that arise.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive tournament environment that showcases the talents of women in the sport and promotes camaraderie among participants.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for rugby.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage various aspects of event planning and coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with players, coaches, sponsors, and the broader rugby community.
  • Creative mindset and ability to develop engaging promotional content to attract players to the tryout camps and tournament.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work closely with coaching staff, players, and tournament organizers.
  • Previous experience in event planning, sports management, or volunteer coordination is a plus but not required.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and travel as needed for tournament-related activities.
