Southwest (SWRU) newcomers celebrated their inaugural victory at the Mary Graham All Stars, propelling them into the Plate Final. A decisive second-half try made the difference against Mid-America, who scored 20 points in the second half. Midwest White displayed dominance by overcoming TRU Jam, securing their place in the Plate Championship.

Sunday: Grand Finale!

The excitement continued on Sunday with captivating matches and the crowning of champions. In the Plate 3rd/4th place match, Mid-America emerged victorious, defeating TRU Jam with a score of 46-3. South Panthers secured the 3rd place position in the Cup competition by defeating Capital with a score of 50-12. The Plate Championship saw an intense battle, with Midwest White emerging as champions by defeating Southwest with a score of 13-0. The grand finale, the Cup Championship, witnessed a dominant performance by Midwest Green, who secured the title with a commanding 59-0 victory over TRU Toast.

Looking Ahead to 2024 Mary Graham All Stars!

As the dust settles on the 2023 Mary Graham All Stars, we are thrilled to announce that we are already planning for the 2024 edition on December 7-8 (location to be confirmed). The structure for the upcoming year will remain the same, featuring the exciting Cup and Plate competitions. Midwest White, TRU Toast, South Panthers, and Southwest will compete in the Cup, while Midwest Green, Capital, and Mid-America will battle it out in the Plate competition.

Join the Action – Seeking Participants!

There is one opening in the Plate competition, and we are actively seeking enthusiastic teams to join. Additionally, we are open to introducing the Bowl competition if we can secure four more All Star teams. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out and be a part of this thrilling rugby event!

We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Midwest for their outstanding achievements in winning both the Cup and Plate Championships. It’s noteworthy that Midwest White has opted to remain in the Plate competition, despite their victory.
